Summer blooms -Crowsnest Suite

The Crowsnest Suite, The Pohutukawa (tree outside the window) is often called the NZ Christmas tree because it flowers at that time.  Our one flowers right outside the Crowsnest window, almost exactly on Christmas day.

Visitors from Modena, Italy visited in November 2012 and had this to say:

Andare a Wellington è molto semplice.

Scott proposed and surprised his new fiancé by bringing her to Days Bay Homestay for the Getaway weekend  - Tripadvisor -- "Awesome experience. Would recommend it to anyone coming to the Wellington region or to Wellingtonians themselves (like myself). Me and my partner toke offer of the weekend getaway and turned out to be the perfect engagement weekend away. Annette & John made us incredibly welcome in their amazing home but it was private enough for us to enjoy ourselves. We toke advantage of the Kayaks and paddled to Ward Island in the harbor which was a icing on the cake if you ask me. The area has some amazing bush walks and great places to eat , all of which we toke full advantage of. I can't say how much we enjoyed it so if you get a chance try it for yourself."

Fran & Bruce from Wellington on their wedding Anniversary visit in February - Tripadvisor - "Loved our restful stay and Annette and John’s warm hospitality. A lovely break away for a weekend with beautiful harbour views and a very relaxing spa pool under the pohutakawa tree.  BLISS.  A short walk to coffee bars and retail therapy and can recommend Cobar for an evening meal.  Enjoyed streaming TV to the Ipad - we want one now!!!! Highly recommend this home-stay especially to Wellington based people who don’t want a long trip in order to have a relaxing weekend away.  Loved the fragapani in the room and have attached a photo!  Fran and Bruce"

Caroline from Palmerston North - Google Maps This place is possibly Day's Bay' s best kept secret. Lovely hosts Annette and John who were just the right mix of friendly and respectful of your own space. The accommodation is modern with a lovely view and also private, as it's on the top floor. We got addicted to the complimentary iPad which was available for use during our stay. The spa was a relief from the cold sea and if we'd stayed longer, would have taken up our hosts on the offer of kayaks for use. The only downside was having to leave! We would recommend to all.
